Watco FirmStep GRP Edge is a heavy-duty anti-slip stair nosing designed to improve safety on steps in industrial, commercial and public environments.
Manufactured from durable glass reinforced plastic (GRP) with an aggressive anti-slip surface, FirmStep provides outstanding grip underfoot — even in wet or high-traffic conditions. It’s ideal for upgrading worn or slippery step edges without replacing the entire stair structure.
Suitable for internal and external use, it can be fitted to concrete, metal, timber or stone steps, making it a practical safety solution for warehouses, factories, schools, public buildings and outdoor access areas.
Available in a range of colours, widths and grades, including coarse finishes for maximum slip resistance.
Surface Preparation

Ensure the step surface is clean, dry and structurally sound.

Remove loose paint, dirt, grease or debris before installation.

For best adhesion, lightly abrade smooth surfaces.

Mark and drill fixing holes where mechanical fixing is required.
FirmStep can be bonded using a suitable adhesive and/or mechanically fixed depending on substrate and traffic levels.

Directions for Use

Measure and cut to required length if necessary.

Prepare the substrate to ensure good adhesion.

Apply a suitable adhesive to the underside of the profile.

Position firmly onto the step edge.

Secure using mechanical fixings where required.

Allow adhesive to cure before subjecting to foot traffic.

We are pleased to offer worldwide delivery on both parcel and pallet orders.
Parcel Shipments
All international parcel deliveries are handled by FedEx International. Shipping times and costs vary depending on destination, parcel size, and service availability.
Pallet Shipments (Including Dangerous Goods)
For palletised orders — including those containing dangerous goods - we work with independent specialist freight companies experienced in compliant global hazardous materials transport.
Due to the nature of these shipments, pricing and transit times are provided on a case‑by‑case basis.
Requesting an International Delivery Quote
If you would like to place an international order, simply get in touch and we will prepare a personalised shipping quote. Please provide the following details:
- Your full name
- Delivery address (including country and any required customs information)
- Details of the items you would like to order
- Quantities for each item
Once we have this information, we’ll handle the rest - from calculating the most suitable shipping method to arranging safe and compliant delivery to your destination.
🛠️ Specialist Products & Pallet Deliveries
Some coatings are made to order, particularly from premium brands like Sigma/PPG. These orders:
