Directions for Use
- Thoroughly clean, degrease and decontaminate brake calipers using the products provided in our kit.
- Sand down existing surface to remove any old or failed coatings and to provide a sufficient key to the brake caliper.
- Wipe down the surface with our pre-paint cleaner to remove any dust sanding dust particles and excess contamination. Wait to evaporate (at least 15 mins) prior to painting.
- If painting the calipers whilst on the car, mask up any areas you do not want to paint. You can remove the calipers for an full coating system if you wish.
- Apply one coat of our Brake Caliper Paint and allow to fully dry prior to road use. Touch drying time will be roughly 3 hours at 20°C and handling drying time will be 8 hours at 20°C. If you drive prior to this, there’s risk of brake dust and road contamination sticking to your fresh paint.
- Any defected areas / over spills – wipe away with solvent provided.
For track use, you may notice fading in colour over a long period of time as surface temperature of the brakes will increase dramatically.
