Thermoguard Timbercoat Intumescent – Fire-Resistant Basecoat for Timber Protection
Thermoguard Timbercoat Intumescent is a specialised intumescent basecoat formulated to deliver 30 or 60 minutes of fire resistance for timber surfaces as part of a certified fire protection system. Designed for use on interior and exterior wood surfaces, this coating expands under heat to form a protective char, effectively insulating and shielding timber from fire damage.
This product must be used as part of a complete system, such as the Thermoguard Timbercoat 60-Minute System or Thermoguard Timbercoat BS Class 1/0 & EN Class B System, and requires a technical specification from the manufacturer prior to application.
Timbercoat Intumescent also provides exceptional adhesion and serves as the first layer for Thermoguard Smoke & Flame Retardant Dualcoat, ensuring optimal colour matching and performance when both coats are used in the same shade.
