Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound, and free from oil, grease, dirt, flaking paint, mildew and chalky residue.

Remove loose coatings and sand edges of remaining paint.
-
For pre-1960 surfaces, test for lead and avoid dry sanding unless safe to do so.

Cure new concrete/masonry for at least 30 days.
-
Remove mould/mildew using a mould remover. Allow surface to fully dry.
-
Porous substrates (wood, masonry): moisture content should not exceed 12%.

Treat decayed or insect-damaged wood with suitable preservatives.

Spot-prime knots and sap streaks with Zinsser B-I-N®, and resinous timbers with Cover Stain®.

Prime bare ferrous metals with an anti-corrosive primer.

Abrade and degrease powder-coated or glossy surfaces.
-
Two full coats recommended. First coat primes and seals. Second coat finishes and protects.

We are pleased to offer worldwide delivery on both parcel and pallet orders.
Parcel Shipments
All international parcel deliveries are handled by FedEx International. Shipping times and costs vary depending on destination, parcel size, and service availability.
Pallet Shipments (Including Dangerous Goods)
For palletised orders — including those containing dangerous goods - we work with independent specialist freight companies experienced in compliant global hazardous materials transport.
Due to the nature of these shipments, pricing and transit times are provided on a case‑by‑case basis.
Requesting an International Delivery Quote
If you would like to place an international order, simply get in touch and we will prepare a personalised shipping quote. Please provide the following details:

- Delivery address (including country and any required customs information)
- Details of the items you would like to order
