AndCoat Epoxy Coal Tar – Heavy-Duty Anti-Corrosive Epoxy Coating
AndCoat Epoxy Coal Tar is a two-pack, heavy-duty anti-corrosive and protective coating engineered for use on iron, steel, non-ferrous metals, concrete, brick, and timber. Combining the proven durability of epoxy resin with the water-resistant properties of coal tar, it delivers exceptional resistance to chemical attack, corrosion, and extreme weather.
Ideal for marine and industrial environments, this coating provides long-term protection for structures exposed to immersion in fresh or sea water. Suitable for application in a wide range of conditions — even as low as 0°C — AndCoat Epoxy Coal Tar can be built up to thick protective layers, reducing labour time and maintenance costs.
Key Features:
-
Two-pack heavy-duty epoxy coal tar coating
-
Anti-corrosive and weather-resistant formulation
-
Excellent resistance to chemicals and seawater immersion
-
Builds thick protective layers in fewer coats
-
Cures at temperatures as low as 0°C
-
Protects steel, concrete, timber, and other construction materials
-
Ideal for jetties, barges, steel piles, and submerged structures
Surface Preparation
The more thorough the preparation, the better Epoxy Coal Tar will perform, however it will tolerate less preparation than many materials. Remove all loose rust and mill-scale and de-grease the surface. The Epoxy Coal Tar can then be applied directly to the surface. A special primer may be required in certain cases and we will be glad to advise you as to
the most suitable product on receipt of details. When over coating certain paints tar bleeding can occur. So try to ensure you’re painting onto a neutral surface.
