  • Hard Dry: 4–6 hours at 20°C

  • Recoatable: 16 hours

Surface Preparation

Ensure the surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease or any substance liable to give adhesion problems. Scrape off any old or flaking paint until you have a firm surface. Special attention should be given to areas under cars to ensure all oil, grease, dirt and road salt is removed. New concrete must be left for at least 6 months
before applying Blackfriar Professional Anti-Slip Floor Paint.

Technical Data

• Resists grease, oil and weak solutions of acid and alkali.
• Contains special slip-resistant aggregates.
• Ideal for light industrial and domestic floors.
• Indoor and outdoor use.
• Brush or roller application.

Coverage Rate - 6-10m2/litre per coat. Two coats recommended.

Drying Time
4-6hrs@20°C. Allow to dry for a minimum of 16hrs @20°C between coats. Allow to dry for a minimum of 48hrs@20°C before subjecting to heavy traffic. Full cure is achieved in 5-
7 days@20°C.

Directions for Use

Stir thoroughly before use. Apply with a brush or roller working the paint in any surface imperfections. On bare or new surfaces first apply Blackfriar Professional Solvent Based Floor Sealer followed by 1-2 coats of Blackfriar Professional Anti- Slip Floor Paint. On previously painted surfaces apply 1-2 coats as required. Blackfriar Professional Anti-Slip Floor Paint is not suitable for use over PVC, thermoplastic tiles, quarry tiles, asphalt floors or granolithic concrete. Do not apply it on concrete surfaces treated with alkali containing liquids, areas subjected to rising damp or areas treated with PVA bonding solutions. If
concrete floors are very smooth then pre-treat with Blackfriar Professional Acid Etch followed by Blackfriar Professional Solvent Based Floor Sealer prior to applying 1-2 coats of Blackfriar Professional Anti-Slip Floor Paint. Surfaces are slippery when wet. To ensure slip resistance the floor must be kept dry when in use. The use of protective mats will help preserve the surface under tyres.

International Delivery

We are pleased to offer worldwide delivery on both parcel and pallet orders.

Parcel Shipments

All international parcel deliveries are handled by FedEx International. Shipping times and costs vary depending on destination, parcel size, and service availability.

Pallet Shipments (Including Dangerous Goods)

For palletised orders — including those containing dangerous goods - we work with independent specialist freight companies experienced in compliant global hazardous materials transport.
Due to the nature of these shipments, pricing and transit times are provided on a case‑by‑case basis.

Requesting an International Delivery Quote

If you would like to place an international order, simply get in touch and we will prepare a personalised shipping quote. Please provide the following details:

  • Your full name
  • Delivery address (including country and any required customs information)
  • Details of the items you would like to order
  • Quantities for each item

Once we have this information, we’ll handle the rest - from calculating the most suitable shipping method to arranging safe and compliant delivery to your destination.

🛠️ Specialist Products & Pallet Deliveries

Some coatings are made to order, particularly from premium brands like Sigma/PPG. These orders:

  • May have longer lead times

  • May carry a £150 + VAT delivery charge

  • Could require pallet delivery — a separate charge may apply

If your order requires palletisation, we’ll contact you after checkout to confirm delivery costs. You're also welcome to contact us first for a delivery quote before placing the order.

📦 Stock & Availability

We hold a large amount of stock ready for immediate dispatch, but:

  • Some products may need to be ordered in from manufacturers

  • Specialist items may be tinted or made to order, causing additional lead time

  • We’ll always aim to part-deliver where possible to avoid unnecessary delays

If you’re on a strict deadline, please get in touch before ordering so we can advise on delivery timeframes.

🚫 Delivery Liability

While we work hard to ensure your order arrives safely and on time, we use third-party carriers and cannot be held liable for:

  • Delays in transit

  • Lost shipments

  • Goods damaged in delivery

If your order is damaged or delayed, please let us know as soon as possible. We are not always informed automatically by the courier, so your input is essential.

We will work with you to resolve any issues — whether that means replacing items or chasing the carrier.

Note: Address changes after dispatch may incur additional charges, so please double-check your delivery details at checkout.

🧾 Payments & Order Processing

Orders are only processed once full cleared payment has been received.

You will receive email updates at each stage of the process:

  • Pending – order received

  • Processing – being picked, packed or manufactured

  • Dispatched – on the way with the carrier

  • Back order / Part dispatched – if stock is split or delayed

🚚 2. How long does delivery take?

Depending on UK stock, our standard delivery is 1–3 working days for UK mainland addresses. Orders placed before 1pm typically ship same day. If stock is low or delayed, one of our advisors will be in touch.
For larger or palletised orders, allow up to 5 working days.

Custom-mixed and tinted paints are made to order and non-returnable, unless there's a fault or we've made an error.
We strongly recommend confirming your colour choice before ordering.

📦 4. What happens if my order arrives damaged?

If your item is damaged in transit, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the damage and your order number.
We’ll arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate - no hassle.

🧽 5. Do I need to prime before painting?

It depends on the surface and product. Many of our coatings are direct-to-surface but some materials (like new concrete or bare metal) may need a primer.

It will also depend on the surface condition and if you're painting over an existing coating or going direct to surface. Check the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) on each product page, or contact our technical team for advice @ info@andrewscoatings.co.uk or call us on 01902 429190.

💳 6. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

  • All major credit/debit cards

  • PayPal

  • Klarna (Buy Now, Pay Later)

  • Google Pay / Apple Pay

🖌️ 7. How do I know which product is right for my project?

We’ve carefully categorised our products so you can easily find the right coating based on surface type, project use, or area of application - like floors, metal, kitchens, or outdoors.

Some products do cross over between categories (for example, a floor paint that also works on metal) but rest assured - we’ve placed them where they’re most commonly used.

Still unsure? Just drop us a message - we’re happy to help you choose the best fit for your specific project.

🌍 8. Do you ship internationally?

Yes we can ship anywhere in the world. For international trade or wholesale orders, please contact: info@andrewscoatings.co.uk

🧾 9. Can I request a VAT invoice?

Yes - VAT invoices are included automatically in your order confirmation email. If you need a re-send, just let us know.
