Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Gloss is a top-tier, water-based exterior paint designed to provide a durable, weather-resistant and glossy finish across a wide range of surfaces. Whether you're painting wood, metal, masonry, UPVC, plastic, concrete or cladding, this all-in-one formula delivers a bright, long-lasting coat with excellent colour retention.
The gloss finish offers a clean, reflective appearance that not only enhances kerb appeal but also adds an extra layer of protection. Formulated to be breathable and flexible, AllCoat Gloss resists cracking, flaking and blistering by allowing moisture vapour to escape. Its built-in biocide keeps the film surface protected from mould, algae and fungal growth, even in challenging UK climates.
No primer needed - this paint bonds directly to previously painted or glossy surfaces without sanding. Just clean, apply and enjoy a vibrant, weatherproof finish that stands the test of time. This paint forms a tough, flexible, weather-resistant coating that resists cracking, peeling and blistering for up to 15 years.

Surface Preparation
-
Ensure surface is clean, dry, sound, and free from contaminants (oil, grease, mould, loose or peeling paint, chalky residue).
 -
Remove any loose or peeling paint. Sand edges of remaining paint film until smooth.
 -
For surfaces painted before 1960, take extra care: they may contain lead. Avoid inhaling dust; use a mask if dry sanding.
 -
For new concrete, masonry or similar porous surfaces, allow at least 30 days curing before painting.
 -
For porous materials (timber, masonry), ensure moisture content does not exceed 12%.
 -
Any decay or insect‑infested timber should be treated with a suitable preservative.
 -
Fill nail holes, gouges; prime knots and sap streaks.
 -
Bare ferrous metal requires anti‑corrosive metal primer; unweather powder coated / glossy surfaces should be abraded and degreased.
 -
Remove mould and mildew using appropriate treatment; ensure surface fully dry before applying paint.

Directions for Use
-
Mixing / Stirring: Shake or stir well before use to ensure even pigment dispersion.
 -
Application Methods: With synthetic bristle brush; roller; or spray. For airless spray: tip size ≈ 0.017", pressure high‑medium (≈ 2000‑2500 PSI).
 -
Number of Coats: Usually 2 coats; in high‑exposure areas (fascias, sills) a third coat may be beneficial.
 -
Environmental Conditions: Surface & air temperature between 10‑32 °C and humidity <85%. Avoid painting in direct sun / extreme conditions.
 -
Recoat Time: 1 hour at ~21°C (60% RH). Extends in cooler or more humid conditions.
 -
Limitation: Not for use on exterior floors, decks, or surfaces subject to prolonged water immersion. Not suitable for new Plastisol (unless fully weathered) or bare PVDF cladding without specialist preparation.
 -
Cleaning Tools: Wash tools, brushes, any splashes/spills immediately with warm water + detergent; rinse. Dried paint can be removed with Zinsser BIN Brush Cleaner. For spray equipment follow manufacturer’s cleaning instructions; use Universal Cleaner & Degreaser for dried product if needed.
