Lacq Energol Premium Wood Stain is a high-performance wood treatment oil made using traditional raw materials including wood oil and linseed oil. Designed for long-lasting protection on exterior timber, it penetrates deep into the grain to nourish the wood and protect it from within.
Ideal for fences, sheds, pergolas and garden structures, Energol leaves a transparent satin finish that highlights the natural grain of the wood without forming a brittle surface.
Unlike many surface coatings, Energol stays flexible over time, allowing it to move with the timber and resist cracking, flaking or blistering for up to 5 years. It can be used on both untreated wood and timber previously treated with a preservative.
Available in a range of modern colours, as well as Natural for finishing coats or lighter tones.
Surface Preparation

The surface must be dry, dust-free and grease-free before application.

Remove any loose or flaking material.

Sanding is optional, only necessary if a smooth finish is required.

For previously weathered timber, pre-treat with a wood colour renovator to restore the base tone.

Always apply in the direction of the wood grain for a consistent result.

Directions for Use

Stir the product thoroughly before use.

Apply using a flat brush, roller or spray, working in the direction of the wood grain.

Allow the first coat to dry completely (approx. 16 hours) before applying the next.

For untreated wood, apply three coats for best results.

Once the desired depth of colour is achieved, a final coat of Energol Natural can be used for added protection without darkening the finish.

Do not apply below 5°C or in very humid conditions.
🧼 Clean tools with white spirit. Soak used cloths in water before disposal due to fire risk from oil residues.
