Teamac Antifouling A Plus

Teamac Antifouling A is a physically ablative antifouling coating. It offers excellent protection as well as performance for vessels. You can also apply this paint directly onto Aluminium. This is also the only anti-foul product that is available in white.

This paint is also specifically designed for vessels with a maximum speed of up to 20-30 knots. Teamac’s Antifouling contains a high level of copper thiocyanate which provides a great performance on aluminium hulled boats.

For help applying this product please visit safeantifouling for advice from the British Coatings Federation. This Antifoul also contains a mixture of materials which form a complex matrix that wears down at a controlled speed.

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease or marine growth.

• Aluminium: Abrade lightly, clean, then apply 2 coats of Metaclor Primer. If abrading is not possible, treat with T-Wash/Mordant Solution before priming.

• Steel / Wood: Apply 2–3 coats of Teamac Metaclor Underwater Primer.

• GRP: Lightly abrade and apply 2 coats of Metaclor Primer.

• Maintenance: Remove all loose paint & marine growth; power-wash; spot-prime bare areas before recoating.

Directions for Use

1. Stir thoroughly before and during use.

2. Apply by brush or roller (amateur use) or spray (professionals only).

3. Thin if required up to 5 % with Teamac Thinners 17.

4. Apply 2 full coats at ≈ 100 µm WFT (60 µm DFT each).

5. Touch dry: 3 hrs @ 20 °C | Recoat: Min 16 hrs.

6. Do not apply below dew point or in high humidity. Ensure good ventilation.
