Teamac Duracote Anticorrosive Red Oxide is a versatile, general-purpose protective coating that works as both a primer and a gloss finish. Suitable for interior and exterior metal surfaces, it can be applied directly to prepared iron or steel as a one-coat solution, or over a primer such as Teamac Zinc Phosphate for extended protection in aggressive environments.
Ideal for industrial units, farm buildings, fencing, gates, plant machinery and structural steelwork.

Surface Preparation

Surface must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease and contaminants

Remove all loose or flaking material

Blast cleaning to SA 2½ is recommended for optimal adhesion

If blasting isn’t possible, mechanically abrade to a suitable key

Use Coo-Var Degreaser before de-rusting

Clean welds, bolts, corners and spatter before coating

Directions for Use

Stir thoroughly before use

Apply using brush, roller or airless spray

For best results on bare steel, prime with Teamac Zinc Phosphate Primer

Avoid applying below dew point or in high humidity

Recoat after 12 hours or overnight

Clean all tools with Teamac Thinners 14 immediately after use
