Rust-Oleum Limewash Effect Wall Paint creates a beautifully variegated, brushed matt finish that gives your walls a subtle, lived-in character. Designed to achieve the look of traditional limewash with modern ease, it can be applied using just a roller and brush—perfect for full-room transformations or striking feature and accent walls alongside standard Rust-Oleum wall paints.
Suitable for interior walls and ceilings, this water-based, low-odour formula is non-hazardous with a neutral pH, making it ideal for home decorating. Choose from 50 limewash colours, from calming beige and sleek greys to warm terracotta and fresh greens. For best results, apply in criss-cross brush strokes to reveal depth and tonal variation, or experiment with different brushes and sponges to create your own unique effect.
If you’re painting bare plaster or making a major colour change, Rust-Oleum recommends using the Limewash Effect Undercoat to improve coverage and enhance colour depth. Each paint has a perfectly matched undercoat option, making it easy to get a flawless finish.
