Blackfriar Red Oxide Metal Primer – Anti-Corrosive Protection for Ferrous Metals
Protect ferrous metals such as steel and iron with this special water-resistant formulation. Designed for both interior and exterior use, it provides a tough, anti-corrosive base that resists rust and ensures long-lasting protection before applying a topcoat.

Surface Preparation
Ensure surface to be coated is clean, dry, sound and free from wax, grease or any other
contamination. Remove any rust and abrade or wire brush back to a clean bright surface before applying Blackfriar Red Oxide Metal Primer.

Directions for Use
Stir thoroughly prior to use with a broad stirrer. The product may be applied by brush, roller or spray. For best results we recommend applying by brush, working the paint into the surface profile. Apply one or two coats as required.
Do not use under cold (less than 5°C), damp or humid conditions. Do not apply to damp or wet surfaces. Not suitable for application to non-ferrous metal. For galvanised metal or other non-ferrous metals use Blackfriar Multi-surface Primer.
