Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin (Solvent-Based) is a high-performance exterior paint that delivers up to 15 years protection for properly prepared surfaces. Designed for timber, masonry, plastic, concrete, metal and cladding, its silicon alkyd formula forms a flexible, low-sheen coating that’s recoatable in just 3 hours and touch dry in 1.
This self-priming system is ideal for repainting previously coated substrates, including those with bitumen, tar or creosote. It offers superior colour retention, shower resistance within 1 hour and outstanding resistance to cracking, flaking and blistering.
Available in white, black and tintable bases, AllCoat Satin is perfect for decorating exterior woodwork, metal fixtures, cladding and more - even in cold temperatures down to 5°C.
Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free from oil, dirt, mould and loose paint.

Mould or mildew must be removed with fungicidal wash (e.g. Blackfriar Fungicidal Wash).

Previously painted glossy surfaces should be abraded and degreased.

Bare or new surfaces require appropriate priming:

Timber: Zinsser Cover Stain®

Powder coatings, unweathered Plastisol, galvanised steel: abrade + degrease thoroughly

Knots/sap streaks: Spot-prime with Zinsser B-I-N®

Let new cement, plaster or stucco cure 60–90 days.

Stir well before application.

Apply with brush, roller or airless sprayer (tip: 0.013–0.017", pressure: 1800–2400 PSI).

Apply 2 full coats. Use a third in high exposure areas (sills, fascias).

Suitable for use between 5°C and 32°C, RH <80%.

Avoid application during rain, frost or in direct sunlight.

Thinning not normally needed; up to 10% white spirit may be used for conventional spray.
