Teamac ChlorVar Chlorinated Rubber Paint is a highly durable topcoat designed to protect surfaces exposed to harsh environments. Engineered for use in areas that face chemical exposure, high humidity or submersion, it's the go-to choice for swimming pools, farm buildings, food processing areas and marine applications.
This easy-to-clean gloss coating is resistant to salt water and a wide range of acids and chemicals. It can be applied to wood, metal, brick, plaster, masonry and fibreglass, offering long-lasting protection and a smooth, slip-resistant finish.
Available in a range of colours including white, black and blue – with custom RAL and BS options on request – ChlorVar is the ideal solution for professional environments demanding reliable protection and performance.
Surface Preparation
Before application, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, oil, mould and loose material.

Concrete or render should be treated with Coo-Var Acid Etch to remove laitance and create a strong key.

Allow surfaces to dry thoroughly, ensuring moisture content in concrete is below 14%.

Apply a 10% thinned coat of ChlorVar as a primer on concrete and porous surfaces.

For metal and wood, apply Teamac Metaclor Underwater Primer before coating.

If recoating over sound existing ChlorVar, clean thoroughly and abrade the surface to aid adhesion.

Old or perished coatings should be removed entirely and treated as a new substrate.

Directions for Use

Mix thoroughly before use.

Apply using a brush, roller or airless spray. For best results, spray application is recommended.

Thin only if required using ChlorVar Thinners (max 5%).

Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C or in high humidity.

Ensure good ventilation during application and drying, especially in confined spaces.

For swimming pools, allow minimum 14 days drying before refilling with water.
