Zinsser PermaWhite® Satin is a durable, mould resistant interior paint designed for areas that demand extra toughness as well as moisture protection. Its elegant satin sheen makes it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements and commercial interiors where walls and ceilings face both high humidity and frequent wear.
The advanced acrylic formula contains a biocide to protect the dried film against fungal growth, ensuring surfaces remain cleaner for longer even in challenging environments. The coating is scrubbable and washable, resisting cracking, peeling and blistering for up to 7 years.
With its self-priming adhesion to glossy or solvent-based paints and tintable bases for BS, RAL and NCS colours, PermaWhite® Satin is a professional-grade finish that balances hygiene, durability and design flexibility.
Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free from grease, dust, mould or contaminants.

Remove existing mould with Zinsser Mould Killer & Remover.

Wash with Zinsser Universal Degreaser & Cleaner and rinse.

Glossy or solvent-based coatings do not need sanding – PermaWhite® is self-priming.
-
For porous new surfaces (e.g. bare plaster, masonry), use a suitable primer such as Bulls Eye® 1-2-3.
-
On damp masonry, apply WaterTite® before PermaWhite®.

Directions for Use

Stir thoroughly before use – apply as supplied (thin up to 10% with water if spraying).

Apply using brush, roller, pad or airless sprayer (.017 tip at 2000–2600 PSI).

Apply two full coats, ensuring even coverage for mould resistance.

Drying times: Touch dry 30 minutes, recoat after 2 hours.

Avoid scrubbing the surface until fully cured (7 days).

For maximum performance in kitchens and bathrooms, ensure good ventilation.

Clean tools immediately with warm soapy water.
