Zinsser B-I-N Aqua is a professional-grade, water-based primer sealer that delivers outstanding stain-blocking, odour-sealing and adhesion performance. Designed as a low-odour alternative to traditional solvent-based primers, it’s ideal for interior projects where quick turnaround and minimal disruption are essential.
This versatile primer blocks stubborn stains including nicotine, smoke, grease, tannin and water marks, while sealing in odours from pets, fire and mould. It adheres to a wide variety of surfaces without sanding, from wood and plaster to masonry, metal and previously painted finishes. Surface Preparation

Ensure surfaces are sound, clean, dry and free from dust, grease and contaminants.

Remove loose or flaking material with a scraper or stiff brush.

Wash off mould or mildew with an appropriate cleaner.

Glossy or sealed surfaces should be lightly abraded to improve adhesion.

Fill cracks and defects with a suitable filler and sand smooth.

Stir well before use – do not thin.

Apply with a quality synthetic brush, roller or airless spray.

Apply 1–2 coats depending on stain severity and substrate porosity.

Allow at least 45 minutes before recoating.

Sand lightly between coats if a smoother finish is desired.

Topcoat with any water-based or solvent-based paint once dry.

Clean all tools immediately in warm, soapy water.

Store in a cool, dry place between 5°C and 25°C. Protect from frost.
