Watco Concrex Deep Fill Rapid is a fast-curing epoxy concrete repair mortar for deeper holes, damaged floor areas and uneven concrete. It combines the depth capability of the Deep Fill range with a quicker return to light traffic, helping reduce the time a repair area has to stay out of use.

The two-part mortar is applied at 15mm to 100mm in one layer. Use it for local repairs to concrete floors, building up floor levels, forming ramps and rebuilding eroded areas. Its trowel-applied consistency allows the mortar to be compacted and shaped where a pourable filler would not stay in place.

At 15–20°C, allow approximately three hours before light traffic or overlaying. This is the Rapid grade: select it when the repair schedule needs a faster turnaround than standard Concrex Deep Fill. Both internal and external repairs are supported, with the surface and temperature prepared in accordance with the technical sheet.

The aggregate and resin are supplied pre-blended with a separate curing agent. Thorough mixing and firm compaction are important for a consistent repair. For a smoother finished surface, the Deep Fill range can be used beneath a finishing layer of Concrex Carbon Fibre.

Surface Preparation

Remove loose material, dirt, grease and oil. Start with a sound, clean, dry surface. Watco Tack Coat is recommended on smooth or damp substrates; normal patch repairs in rough, dry concrete do not usually need primer.

Technical Data

Directions for Use

Shake the curing agent and tip the aggregate/resin onto a board or tray. Add the curing agent and mix thoroughly until evenly grey. Do not mix in the plastic bucket. Trowel firmly into the repair, compact and finish with a float. Wiping the tool with white spirit helps reduce drag.

Limitations

Do not apply to wet surfaces or exceed 100mm in one layer. Avoid service temperatures above 60°C. Store at 10–30°C and protect from freezing. Read the technical and safety sheets before work.

Product FAQs

How does Rapid differ from standard Deep Fill?
Rapid is ready for light traffic or overlaying after approximately three hours at 15–20°C, compared with five to six hours for standard Deep Fill.

What repair depth is suitable?
Apply 15–100mm per layer. It is a deep repair mortar rather than a thin finishing screed.

Is a primer necessary?
Ordinary repairs to rough, dry concrete usually need none. Use Watco Tack Coat on smooth or damp surfaces and follow the technical sheet.

What coverage should I allow?
Approximately 0.5m² per 25kg at 30mm. Actual consumption depends on the repair's depth and shape.
