Thermoguard Safewalls Insulating Basecoat is part of a two-coat system designed to upgrade painted internal walls and ceilings to meet BS EN Class B s1 d0 fire safety standards. It forms a solid foundation for flame, smoke and toxic fume control in homes, offices and high-occupancy buildings.
Applied before the Safewalls Anti-Viral Smoke & Flame Retardant Topcoat, it delivers excellent adhesion to previously painted surfaces - even those with multiple unknown coatings and is available in undercoat shades to match your final colour.
Ideal for care homes, hospitals, schools and housing associations, the system also offers anti-viral and anti-bacterial protection, helping prevent the spread of germs on high-contact surfaces.
A clean, professional finish with added peace of mind – all in just two coats.

Directions for Use

Apply one coat of Safewalls Insulating Basecoat by brush, roller or spray at labelled spreading rate

Ensure surface is above 8°C and below 30°C, with humidity <75%

Overcoat after 4 hours with Safewalls Anti-Viral Smoke & Flame Retardant Topcoat in the same colour

We use Parcelforce and FedEx as our main carriers, though this may vary based on location or size of your order.

Orders placed after 12 midday (Monday–Friday) are usually dispatched the next working day.

International Delivery
We are pleased to offer worldwide delivery on both parcel and pallet orders.
Parcel Shipments
All international parcel deliveries are handled by FedEx International. Shipping times and costs vary depending on destination, parcel size, and service availability.
Pallet Shipments (Including Dangerous Goods)
For palletised orders — including those containing dangerous goods - we work with independent specialist freight companies experienced in compliant global hazardous materials transport.
Due to the nature of these shipments, pricing and transit times are provided on a case‑by‑case basis.
Requesting an International Delivery Quote
If you would like to place an international order, simply get in touch and we will prepare a personalised shipping quote. Please provide the following details:
- Your full name
- Delivery address (including country and any required customs information)
- Details of the items you would like to order
- Quantities for each item
Once we have this information, we’ll handle the rest - from calculating the most suitable shipping method to arranging safe and compliant delivery to your destination.
🛠️ Specialist Products & Pallet Deliveries
Some coatings are made to order, particularly from premium brands like Sigma/PPG. These orders:
