Watco Bitu-Mend Pour & Restore is a pourable epoxy repair compound for shallow damage in asphalt and tarmac. It restores pitted, worn, cracked and dished areas, helping create a more even surface in car parks, yards and pavements.

The mixed material flows into shallow defects and can be spread with a trowel to follow the surrounding surface. A granite finishing aggregate is scattered over the wet repair to produce a black, slip-resistant finish. This makes it useful for resurfacing local areas of deteriorated asphalt where a deep pothole filler would be difficult to spread in a thin section.

Surface Preparation

Remove loose stones, dirt, oil and other contamination from the repair. Brush out the area thoroughly and leave a sound base. The surface should preferably be dry, although slight dampness is acceptable. Avoid leaving loose debris that could interfere with adhesion or the finished profile.

Check the depth across the whole area before mixing. Pour & Restore is designed for shallow resurfacing between 6.5mm and 20mm thick. Plan the work so the mixed compound can be placed and finished within its short working life.

Technical Data

  • Pack size: 15kg; finished colour: black.
  • Type: pourable epoxy asphalt repair compound with finishing aggregate.
  • Coverage: approximately 1m² per pack at 10mm thick.
  • Application depth: 6.5–20mm.
  • Working life: approximately 15 minutes at 20°C, shorter in warmer conditions.
  • Touch dry: approximately 1 hour at 20–25°C.
  • Ready for traffic: approximately 16 hours at 20–25°C.
  • Shelf life: 24 months in unopened containers.

Directions for Use

Add the curing agent and, where appropriate, the accelerator to the resin and aggregate in the outer bucket. Mix thoroughly with a wide-bladed tool, ensuring the sides and base are incorporated.

Do not add the accelerator if the temperature is above 23°C, or if you need a longer working life for several small repairs. Follow the technical data sheet for the mixing sequence. Pour into the prepared area and spread with a trowel. Before the compound cures, scatter the supplied finishing aggregate over the surface to complete the repair.

Limitations

Use for shallow resurfacing rather than deep potholes. For deeper defects, consider Watco Bitu-Mend Deep Fill or Watco Bitu-Mend Advanced, checking their individual depth requirements. Coverage varies with depth and surface condition. Keep traffic off until sufficiently cured; cooler conditions extend curing times. Store above 10°C and protect from freezing.

Product FAQs

What type of asphalt damage can it repair?
It is designed for shallow, worn, pitted, cracked or dished asphalt and tarmac, including local repairs in car parks, yards and pavements.

How thick should I apply it?
Apply between 6.5mm and 20mm thick. One 15kg pack covers approximately 1m² at 10mm depth.

When should I leave out the accelerator?
Do not add it when the temperature is above 23°C, or when a longer working life is needed for several small repairs. Follow the technical data sheet's mixing instructions.

When can traffic use the repaired area?
At 20–25°C, the typical traffic-ready time is 16 hours. Lower temperatures extend curing time; keep traffic off until the material has cured sufficiently.
